Clare Smith - Health Coaching & Natural Medicine
I established the business in 2002. The name Guardian Angel reflects my dedicated support to each person who chooses me to help them improve their health and vitality. I began as a Sports Therapist and Personal Trainer and have evolved into a multi-faceted Health Coach and Natural Medicine Practitioner. I am proud to have helped many clients, and their families improve their health, their outlook and their lives along the way.
Over time, I have developed an extensive toolbox of techniques from NLP and Life-Coaching to Nutritional Therapy, to CHEK Principles, Herbal Medicine and Naturopathy. I am incredibly fortunate to have been mentored by the wonderful Emma Lane, who worked closely with Paul Chek, is a leading Nutritionist and Naturopath and founded Integrative Health Education, and by Vidya McNeill, an extraordinary woman, inspired business coach, and leader in the human potential movement.
I love being physical and feeling fit, active and healthy. As a kid I participated in several activities including dance, gymnastics and horse riding, then embraced the high energy of aerobics and circuit training as a teenager. I found my competitive side in Kickboxing, where I achieved my Black Belt. I was an avid competitor and was successful in many tournaments including 3x WAKO British Champion, WUMA European Cup winner and have represented Great Britain in 2 World Championships. I established and taught the Kickboxing Club at Bradford University, which is still going strong today.
I spent a few years tackling the growing sport of Triathlon and learned a great deal from my coach, the incredible Jack Maitland (of Brownlee brothers fame). I raced from Sprint to Half Ironman distance and have also completed The New York City Marathon and The Connemarathon in Ireland. I have practiced yoga for over 20 years and was fortunate to have been taught by some inspiring instructors, including the amazing Iyengar Instructor, the late Lillian Biggs.
Clare created Our Tribe, an education, empowerment and inspiration group for women to live wisely and dodge the burnout in order to create vitality, health and fulfilment in their ambitions.
She offers one-to-one coaching, online courses, video resources and is an inspiring motivational speaker.

Violina Spasova (Villy) Sports Massage Therapist
I achieved my Diploma in Sports Massage from Harrogate College in order to build upon my previous training in Bulgaria, where I practiced ‘Sujok’ a Korean therapy similar to Chinese Accupressure and Reflexology. I love to learn and am always looking for new techniques and clever ways to relax and rebalance the body. I am a experienced Ski Instructor and love to swim, mountain bike and travel.
“Thank-you Villy, you worked wonders for me.” – Mike’s Story
“To strain your lower back whilst putting on crampons for a days snow climbing in the winter wonderland of Nethermost Cove in the Lake District proved a severe set back to preparations for a looked forward to trip to Nepal and the Everest region.
By the time I got home from the Lakes, my back had locked out and I was in considerable pain. This was further aggravated the following day during a long day in Liverpool and an icebound M62 bottleneck.
Help was needed to get me mobile again. A call to Guardian Angel Fitness was made to see if they could assist. Villy suggested 3 sessions of remedial massage. With an immediate improvement after the 1st visit, allowing me to again “walk tall” and even cycle to the second appointment for further improvement to allow my running club’s sessions to re-commence and even to a 25mile long distance walking even over Blubberhouses Moor!
The 3rd hour of massage was sorely needed as a general tonic as I had regained full movement and could exercise at will again.
The next job is to pack my bags and get off to Nepal.”
